The Orlebeke R.E.A.C.T. Foundation Inc.
Joyce and David Orlebeke, founders of Aquatic Technologies and the patent
holders of the electrolytic oxidation technology known as the "EOH2O Process",
have founded the R.E.A.C.T. Foundation (a 501c(3) Charitable Corporation) to
ensure that Research and Development of new techniques and processes to a
wide arrange of environmental problems continues as Aquatic Technologies
moves from an R&D firm, to a full Commercial entity.
Additionally, the Foundation will look to provide retraining of military veterans
and firefighters (especially those with disabilities) in these new, cutting edge
technologies to provide a "hand up" in recapturing their economic and "service
oriented" viability. Training will cover many disciplines - including energy
efficient heating and cooling; solar and biogas fuel creation and utilization; rural
and cultural economic self-sufficiency; destruction of persistent organic
pollutants; and "no impact" waste (solids and water) treatment regimes.
Retraining:
One aspect of the Research and Development will focus on the changes to
prosthetic devices and industrial manufacturing and fabrication site design to
allow greater access to employment by those with physical limitations or
handicaps. The individuals graduating from the Foundation Education Program
will have received both intensive instructional schooling as well as "hands on"
operation of the various projects. This means that they will have a wide range of
experience and expertise for employment by governmental agencies, as well as
the private sector in sales, site installation oversight, and system and process
construction and engineering.
By "hands on" - we mean everything - from field stripping and repair of pumps
and heating/chilling equipment, to construction of research sites and facilities.
The graduates will have a unique and highly sought work experience - making
them highly employable and helping to fill a void throughout the World that is
only growing - that of untrained operators and sales people in the newest
technologies and techniques.
Research and Training Sites:
The first site will be in Oregon. From there, sites in Africa, New Zealand,
Australia, and SE Asia are already being planned. Overseas sites will primarily be
for training of rural populations and those seeking to maintain their cultural
identity while improving their economic standing.
The REACT Foundation will draw on all the expertise and experience of both the
founders, as well as those people and firms that they have worked with over the
years - including plant pathologists, biochemists, physicists, refrigeration and
heat recovery engineers, wastewater plant operators, biogas developers,
structural and municipal infrastructure engineers, metallurgists, medical
doctors, organic chemists, aquaculturalists, petroleum engineers, and numerous
equipment manufacturers.
